Q: What are the requirements to enroll at Career Academy of New York?
A: Applicants must present high school degree, GED or pass the entrance exam.

Q:  Do you have Job placement assistance?
A: Yes.  Our Career Services Department works with you and employers to facilitate interviews. Although you are encouraged to pursue your job search with the tools the school has provided you, we will provide assistance in the form of job postings, school career fairs and other networking opportunities on your behalf.

Q: Where will I do my externship?
A: The Career Services Department will work with you and the sites to find a position in an organization where you will learn and succeed.

Q: Do you offer evening classes?
A: We have evening sessions in all of our programs.

Q: Will someone help me with my resume?
A: Our Career Services Department will assist you creating the tools that you need to begin your job search.  The programs have professional development programs where resume writing is an extensive part of the curriculum.

Q: Does the class go any field trips?
A: Students enjoy class trips regularly.  So whether you are enrolled in our culinary school, hotel and restaurant management school or medical assistant school, you will see the environment you will soon be working in and have the opportunity to network with industry professionals.

Q: How long is the Admissions process?
A: As soon as we review your enrollment application, receive the necessary documentation for education background and financial aid eligibility you are only a few minutes away from joining our next class!

Q: I am an international student, does the school issue I-20?
A: Career Academy of New York assists International students in obtaining their I-20 and processes the documentation directly to INS to request your M-1 Visa for the duration of the program. 

Q: Do you offer assistance after school for tutoring in case I face challenges with a class?
A: Yes, All Instructors have tutoring times. You must speak to your Instructor.  The school’s mentoring program can also facilitate tutoring for you.
